Lindsey and Hernan's Story - South Boulder Signals

[Story collected at Neighborhood Office Hours, South Boulder.]

“We live on the south side of Table Mesa, and we find that the lights are not responsive to the pedestrian signals. We usually press the button, then wait and we find that the cars clear away before the light changes, so we just go across. The signal changes only once the cars are built up again, and they have to stop when there’s no one waiting. We are expecting our first baby in September. It would be nice to be able to cross the street quickly so we can get where we’re going on bikes or walking without worrying about the timing of the traffic.”
