Be Heard Boulder is one way the city is trying to making it easier for community members to share their voices -- at a time and place of their choice -- about issues to help shape city projects and decision-making processes.

RE-EVALUATE HOW TO ENGAGE THE PUBLIC IN THIS PLATFORM
not sure what your metrics are for success, but the city might want to advertise this tool more frequently .... I signed up a few months ago, but only just now voted on some of the surveys while others were closed...EMAIL REMINDERS with links to "vote before the deadline passes" would surely increase your public participation/feedback in a timely manner.... I like the opportunity to weigh in, but convenient reminders would help all around...

Survey residents for interests and use BeHeard Boulder for those topics
Learn which topics are most important to residents (they could select as many as they want from a list), then have relevant departments solicit community feedback on current issues.

If there is ever a place to discuss the most controversial issues in Boulder, it is here
I know how....opinionated....some of my neighbors are on things so I know you guys might be scared to post things that are controversial on the internet for anyone to see. Nextdoor and Facebook are turning into cesspools of angry misinformed folks who try to incite anger and outrage. But I see great potential for this site to be used instead of social media or public meetings for the important but difficult conversations we have to have about the city's future. Seems like the dialogue would be more professional here. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to speak up.
