Boulder Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update. Restore, Connect, Sustain.

Background

The City of Boulder invites community participation to help the Parks and Recreation Department prioritize how it will invest its resources and focus its operations in the future. This process will build on successes from its 2014 Parks and Recreation Master Plan (External link) and will help the department to:

  • Guide day-to-day programs, parks and facility operations.
  • Provide more inclusive recreational access to community members.
  • Maintain financial sustainability and resilience.

A summary of community feedback will be developed for each of the 4 engagement windows to ensure the community voice is used to guide the master plan update. A summary of the first window of engagement is here (link). Staff is currently analyzing all of the data collected for the second engagement widow. Please sign up below for notification when the second engagement summary is available and for the next opportunity to participate.

Your participation in the process is critical to ensuring the BPR Master Plan Update serves the community. There will be multiple opportunities for participation throughout 2021. For more information on the project process, please visit the BPR Master Plan Update project page (External link).

Please sign up to receive emails regarding BPR Master Plan project updates and notifications (External link). You will receive a monthly email when staff updates the project page with new information and notification as new opportunities for community feedback are posted.
